Can animals be infected with SARS-CoV-2?

Hello friends, 
Today we will discuss about SARS-CoV-2
                                                 SARS-CoV-2
         (severe acute respiratory syndrome CoV-2) 
            
 This is the scientific name of the CoV which causes COVID-19 has been named as SARS-CoV-2 by the international committee on taxonomy of virus (ICTV).

Now question arise in our mind that..... 

Q.Can animals be infected with SARS-CoV-?

Ans:- 

1. SARS-CoV-2 infections are widely distributed in the human population.
2. There is a possibility? for some animals to become infected through close contact with infected humans.
3. Infection of animals with SARS-CoV-2 virus may have implications for animal health and welfare, for wildlife conservation, and for biomedical research.
4.Dogs, cats (domestic cats and a tiger), and minks have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in following close contact with infected humans. 

NOTE:-There are is No evidence that they contribute to spreading of virus.so there is nothing to worry the fact is COVID-19 is only transmissible from human to human.
